How do I start the commission process?

commissions begin with a brief description of what you’re looking for submitted to me through the commission request form. We can then chat via the preferred contact method selected. Once the concept/reference, size, and budget are concluded, I will send you a commission summary and deposit request to start the process.  All commissions require a 50% deposit, with the remainder due upon completion and before pickup or shipping.

will I get updates on my commission?

yes, I will send updates with photos throughout the process. this includes the preliminary sketch before painting where revisions can be made if needed, an updated sketch (if needed) Progress photo of the painting, and the final Photo before shipping.

do I get to offer feedback during the process?

Absolutely. Feedback is encouraged throughout the process, but most importantly when you receive the first sketch and/or mock-up for review.

How do you determine the list pricing?

The list price of a piece is predominately determined by the overall size of the work and subject(s), labor hours, and cost of materials.

How long does it take to finish a commission?

It depends on the size, medium, and complexity of the painting as well as my current workload. If you have a specific deadline please include the date expected in the commission request form and I will do my best to accommodate you. Once we’ve discussed the details of your piece, I’ll be able to give you a more specific completion date in the commission summary.
